Software and Hardware Designer Turns Corner With New Products

Commercialized Product Will Help Connect the Public and Toolkit

MUENSTER,TEXAS, May 2022: A new product is now available for custom component and tool development. Tactical Computing Labatories (TCL) has announced their first commercialized product “SST Support Systems,” with the focus to provide customized support for The Structural Simulation Toolkit or “SST”. The toolkit , designed by Sandia National Laboratories was developed to “explore innovations in highly concurrent systems where the ISA, microarchitecture, and memory interact with the programming model and communications system.” Providing two novel capabilities-the first, a fully modular design that enables extensive exploration of an individual system parameter . While the second, is a parallel simulation environment based on MPI. This provides a high level of performance and the ability to look at larger systems.

While this framework has been successful to model a vast number of concepts—many of the integration services are still being under-utilized by academic community and public companies. TCL has designed a new system—becoming the branch between the two and providing 24/7 support through a portal or even creating custom components and tool development. With multiple support tiers available for subscription, such as Gold, Silver Platinum or Academic, TCL will be able to implement, assist or create packages to let the simulator evolve ones’ software and hardware. “In the age of architectural specialization, organizations are increasingly pushing the boundaries of simulation fidelity and performance.  TCL’s  history of SST component development and knowledge is why we sought to connect more users with the platform,’ shared Dr. John Leidel,  TCL’s Chief Scientist. “SST Support Systems” is now live and available through TCL’s website or contacting sales@tactcomplabs.com.

About Tactical Computing Laboratories: Tactical Computing Laboratories  (TCL) was founded  in 2016 upon the groundwork that software is a first-order design principle in hardware development. Knowing computing hardware and software architectures would not be sufficient to meet the ever increasing demands of scalable, data intensive computing, TCL’s mission is to optimize a platform’s micro architecture for application-specific workloads. Holding vast experience in designing advanced computing platforms for computationally-intensive and data-intensive workloads has also been in the central principal of every project.
